Department: Art and Art History
Appointment(s):
- Assistant Professor of 3D Animation
- CCTAD Assistant Co-Director
- Member, Digital Arts Research Collaborative (DARC)
Prof. Webster teaches all levels of computer animation in the Art and Art History department. Last year he completed his longest and most technically accomplished animated film to date. At just under four minutes in length, his film titled “Idea Development ,” required an enormous amount of time and energy, which culminated in completion at the beginning of March. “Idea Development” has already been accepted into three national film festivals, and received an award for best animation at the Boulder Adventure Film Festival in Boulder Colorado. It has recently been sent to many other film festivals, where Dane hopes it will be accepted after teh jury process is completed. In the fall he was also thrilled to have both of his previous films, “A Sixty Second Tragedy” and “Up, Up and Away,” screened on Nicktoons (the cartoon cable television channel for Nickelodeon) as part of their Nicktoons Film Festival. |
